Veeno Wine Bar Durham

A new location for the already established Veeno brand, this project involved transforming a former restaurant space while working creatively with elements of the existing fit out. Developed in close collaboration with the client and alongside the wider branding direction, the design reinterprets the interior to reflect Veeno’s recognisable identity, creating a warm and atmospheric environment inspired by the character and charm of traditional Sicilian wine bars.

Rich timber finishes, rustic textures and deep tonal layering were introduced throughout the space to create an authentic and inviting feel, while accents of Veeno’s signature red were woven into the scheme to strengthen the brand presence. Existing architectural features were adapted and enhanced with bespoke wine displays, feature planting, ambient lighting give the restaurant a more intimate and contemporary atmosphere.

The layout was carefully considered to support both casual dining and larger social gatherings, creating a flexible hospitality environment that feels lively yet comfortable throughout the day and evening. Signature fairy lights within the windows act as a focal point from the street, drawing customers into the warm glow of the interior and reinforcing the welcoming character of the brand.
